After years of no solid updates on Hobbs và Shaw 2, a Hobbs và Shaw sequel starring The Rock as Hobbs và Jason Statham as Shaw is finally likely again.
Fast X’s surprising return means that Hobbs & Shaw 2 is finally likely again after four years of no updates on the Hobbs và Shaw sequel. Following a series of rumors và reports of a clash between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, The Rock exited the main Fast và Furious franchise right after The Fate of the Furious’ release. Johnson continued involved with the franchise, though, through the Hobbs và Shaw spinoff.
Hobbs và Shaw grossed $760,7 million at the worldwide box office on a $200 million budget. Despite being one of the biggest hits in the careers of both Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham, Hobbs & Shaw has yet to lớn receive a sequel. Given that neither Hobbs nor Shaw returned in F9, Hobbs và Shaw 2 was sounding more & more unlikely. Dwayne Johnson’s cameo in Fast X changes that scenario.
Dwayne Johnson’s return khổng lồ Fast & Furious in Fast X means that Hobbs still has a future in the franchise, which includes a potential Hobbs & Shaw sequel. Details on how The Rock’s cameo in Fast X came khổng lồ be and what is next for Hobbs in the Fast Saga remain to be revealed. However, Fast X’s post-credits scene means that Hobbs và Shaw was not a dead end for The Rock’s character. Instead, Hobbs now rejoins the Fast family and will return in the upcoming Fast và Furious 11. In addition, Jason Statham returned as Deckard Shaw in Fast X after missing F9.
While Jason Statham never exited the Fast và Furious franchise as Dwayne Johnson did, Shaw’s return in Fast X initially suggested that Hobbs và Shaw 2 would no longer happen. That is because The Rock’s return as Hobbs was only reported a few days before Fast X premiered. Now that both Hobbs & Shaw are back in the franchise, the chances of Hobbs và Shaw 2 happening are much higher. Hobbs và Shaw didn't nói qua the screen in Fast X, but they will likely reunite in Fast X, Part 2. Hobbs & Shaw 2 missed the right timing after the first film, but Fast X may have revived the spinoff franchise.

Fast X’s cliffhanger ending means that Hobbs và Shaw 2 cannot happen before Fast X, Part 2. It is also difficult to say whether Fast & Furious 11 will be the saga’s final film, or if Fast và Furious 12 will happen. Regardless, after the Fast và Furious finale concludes, Fast và Furious would have the perfect opportunity khổng lồ continue the Hobbs & Shaw franchise. Whereas the first Hobbs và Shaw felt like Dwayne Johnson’s alternate Fast và Furious film, Hobbs & Shaw 2 could be an extension of Fast X’s story.
